Giorgia, born in 1986, graduated with a degree in Industrial Design and worked as a draftsman for eight years. Then, her desk job became too tight for her, and she decided to pursue her true passion: cooking. After years of traveling to hone her skills, she opened her first restaurant in 2010, a success she has enjoyed, including being included in the prestigious 100 guide.
It was here, in her "creature," that she met Lorenzo, now her life and work partner. Together, they decided to take over a historic restaurant in Turin and give it new life.
Lorenzo, born in 1972 and a graduate of the Turin hotel management school, opened Osteria della Pompa in Cocconato d'Asti in 2003: a constantly sold-out farmhouse restaurant still famous today for its rich Piedmontese appetizer buffet.
In Turin, at Trattoria Fermata Nizza, the two merge their experiences and find the perfect balance: he brings the strength of tradition, she the drive towards innovation and experimentation.
The restaurant, opened in 2018, is constantly growing and is known for being a true "piola," faithful to seasonality, thanks in part to the local market that enlivens the square in front. Here, the patrons all know each other, and over time, the trattoria has become a neighborhood landmark.
