In the footsteps of the historic and homonymous Turin piola in Via Ormea, in the Michelin Guide since 2021, Madama Piola Vini e Piattini was born.
A place where conviviality reigns supreme and recipes are served in “small plates” format, so as to accompany an aperitif or compose a real merenda sinoira.
In the kitchen, chef Federico signs a menu in which the seasonality and territoriality of the dishes are the masters and in which past culinary experiences, both starred and not, are all felt. After finishing the Hotel Institute, Federico grew up juggling big names such as La Credenza, a Michelin star in San Maurizio Canavese or Trattoria Zappatori, a Michelin star in Pinerolo.
The menu does not include second courses, but it is the “small plates” that do the honors, both hot and cold, followed by a double of first courses with a choice of toppings, with plin and gnocchi as the undisputed protagonists (and those who have already tried them know what we are talking about). There is no shortage of a sweet ending, because like any self-respecting meal, a zabaglione with meliga biscuits or a bonet with whipped cream absolutely cannot be missed.
The room is intended to be warm and welcoming, with burgundy walls and a black and white checkered floor, dark wood tables set in a simple way, without tablecloths, so as to lighten up a place that does not want to impose itself as a restaurant but rather give the opportunity even to those who manage to resist the temptations of the menu to simply enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail.
To serve, the sincere smile and the friendliness of the waiters accompany the guests in their choice, without ever being intrusive but at the same time ready to accommodate any request.
Outside, our terrace allows you to enjoy the view of the symbol of our city, the Mole Antonelliana, majestic and elegant as only it can be, to immediately feel immersed in the all-round Piedmontese nature that we try to convey.
