Pasquale Làera was born in Puglia and adopted by Piedmont. Làera enrolled at Gualtiero Marchesi's International School of Italian Cuisine (Alma). Here he met Antonino Cannavacciuolo, of whom he became sous-chef. He traveled first to Japan, where he had the opportunity to work closely with Okamoto, then to Copenhagen, at the Geranium, still in Mexico.
He arrives at Boscareto Resort, as Executive Chef of the catering sectors, including the La Rei restaurant: in 2014 he obtains his first Michelin Star. In 2019, the Borgo Sant'Anna project begins, which will obtain its first Michelin Star in 2020.
In 2022 he created Lostu, a tavern with a playful spirit.
