“What is creativity”: Conversation with MASSIMO BOTTURA
Thursday 28th October, 4 pm, La Centrale – Nuvola Lavazza
(the event is open to the public; Reservations accepted from 8th October)
La Centrale, in the Nuvola Lavazza building, will host Buonissima 2021 opening event on Thursday 28th October at 4 pm. Participants will include President of the Piedmont Region Alberto Cirio, vice president of Lavazza Group Giuseppe Lavazza, and the future Mayor of the city of Turin.
On stage, chef Massimo Bottura will have an “irreverent” conversation with journalists Luca Iaccarino and Stefano Cavallito, discussing Italian cuisine, creativity and innovation.
What does innovating mean? How are new ideas found? What relationship is there between food, creativity and art? How do we tread new paths? Answers will be given by the Italian chef who has best brought one of the most deeply rooted gastronomic traditions on the planet into the future, without betraying it and without being overwhelmed by it.
BOB NOTO AWARD
Thursday 28th October, 5.30 pm, La Centrale – Nuvola Lavazza
in the context of Buonissima 2021 Official Opening
(the event is open to the public; reservations accepted from 8th October)
A gourmet before anyone else was, influential before influencers, a food photographer before our cell phones got clogged up by mediocre images. An artist dedicated to gastronomy, a gastronomist dedicated to photography: there is no chef who doesn’t know his name and hasn’t wished for their dishes to be captured by his camera before being tested by his palate. The best palate in the world, according to Ferran Adrià.
The Bob Noto Award – here at its first edition – will be given to a chef who embodies one of the absurd, ironic, artistic, cynical, unashamed, iconoclastic, loving features of his personality, as identified each year by his wife Antonella Fassio.
She will award the prize together with a jury including Ferran Adrià, Matteo Baronetto, Marco Bolasco, Stefano Cavallito, Paolo Griffa, Luca Iaccarino, Sara Peirone, and Davide Scabin.
